We’ve Been Building Pallets Since 1991
My brother and I built the first pallet that shipped out of our plant, and today, over 28 years later, my family and I ensure that each pallet and service that we provide will be done with as much attention to your needs as our very first.

History
Since 1991 Dr. Leland Hershey along with his brother Dr. Everett Hershey have perfected an entrepreneurial approach to building sustainable infrastructures spanning several business enterprises. Their work ethic was passed along to them by their father and uncle who began the family-owned lumber and sawmill business located in eastern North Carolina over 30 years ago. This business is now the core enterprise of many years of hard work and determination.
In 2004, changes to the family-owned business in eastern North Carolina required the Hershey brothers to restructure their father’s Pallet Business, and by 2005, they formed what is now known as Precision Pallet, LLC.
The Hershey’s are well-known and respected in their industry as thought-leaders and innovators. They have formed important alliances that range from supply-chain management to new product development, all in an effort to give their customers the best possible experience.
Our Green Initiative
Precision Pallet, LLC has set into place zero waste procedures designed to minimize our impact on the environment. We are determined to reduce the number of pallets and pallet building materials that make their way into landfills. Instead, we have adopted the practice of reusing, rebuilding and recycling all excess lumber that comes through our facility. If a pallet doesn’t pass our strict quality control it is disassembled and the lumber reused in another product. If we receive broken or unusable lumber from our supplier that lumber is ground and used for mulch.
With deforestation a growing global concern it’s important to us to operate with environmental sustainability in mind. That’s why we are one of the few pallet distributors that offer recycled and reused pallets as an option to our clients. We also act as a recycling center for your used pallets. We offer a buyback program for certain pallet sizes in good condition. This is mutually beneficial for both our customers and the environment. We also offer an ethical disposal service for all other pallet sizes that don’t fall under our buyback program. Let’s keep pallets out of landfills together!
